Department of Mathematics

The mission of the M-center is to provide a robust research environment, having KSU as a hub of a growing international research network on mirror symmetry and tropical geometry. The Center is expected to expand rapidly in various directions including graduate student and postdoctoral mentoring, as well as research and training activities, such as research seminars, workshops, schools and conferences.

The M-center hosts a Visiting Assistant Professorship Program, funded by Kansas State University College of Arts and Sciences. Some of the activities organized by the Center are partially funded by NSF through an FRG grant, joint with University of California San Diego and University of Miami (NSF awards: DMS-0854989, DMS-0854977, DMS-0854987).
