Peter Nguyen, Rachel Manspeaker, Santosh Ghimire | Detailed solutions to several problems from the most recent qualifying exams will be presented including all the necessary background. Peter will present an Algebra problem related to Sylow's Theorem. Rachel will talk about a Geometry/Topology problem and Santosh about an Analysis problem. All are welcome! Grad students that still have to pass a qualifying exam are strongly encouraged. Faculty is invited. |
