Be sure you know how to solve page 38-39: #1, #3, #9 (but part e) ),
#14.
Use this as an excuse to review the following concepts:
- distance of 2 points in the plane, Pythagoras' theorem,
equation of the circle, completing squares.
- graphing; shifting and scaling graphs.
- get used to abstract language: work with functions when the
numerical value of the variable is not specified.
- slope; parallel and perpendicular straight lines.
- domain, range of a function;
composition of
functions.
Be aware that we did not cover all of this in class!
