A conference devoted to geometric and algebraic aspects of mirror symmetry will be held at Kansas State University, November 3-6, 2011.
A highlight of the conference will be a mini-course given by Andrew Netizke. The mini-course will consist of two lectures on the construction of hyperkahler metrics on SYZ fibrations, and a third lecture on applications to Hitchin systems. Andy has some notes on the subject that can be found at the bottom of his website.
There will also be a poster session for graduate students to present their work. This will be a great opportunity for students to interact with each other and other participants.
Please register for the conference by clicking the registration link on the left. Check out the Travel and Lodging links for more important information. The picture is a 3D projection of a hypersurface in the quintic 3-fold, courtesy of Wikipedia.
Update: Registration will take place in the math lounge (Cardwell 121) before the first talk on Thursday.
A campus map can be found here. Note that the Holiday Inn is located at the corner of Anderson and 17th.
If you are presenting a poster during the poster session and want to print it out on campus, you can get this done at the student union. Here is the website. You should contact them ahead of time to check how much turnaround time they will need to print the poster.
