Jan 30:

(i) Exam Rooms are now available for the three Tuesday evening exams. Make sure that you know the location of your exam room. Remember exam rooms are by your M or F recitation instructor (not your T U lecturer).
(ii) Two Practice Exams for Exam 1 are now available.

Jan 20:

Chris Pinner's recitation class (Ref.no. 14240, Class time: Fridays 11:30-12:20) has changed room from CW130 to CW120.

Jan 18:

(i) The due date for homework this week (HW1) has been changed to Wednesday January 18 at 6pm. From next week the due dates will be as announced in the syllabus at homework assignments (all at 6pm). Thus HW2 is due Tuesday January 24 at 6pm etc.
(ii) The help sessions will be starting on Monday January 23 in CW145.
(iii) You can find your recitation instructor listed here. (The list is long since it also contains the schedule for all the other courses run by the department of mathematics.) Your class is listed by reference number (e.g. 14070) and class time (e.g. M 8:30) using the standard abbreviations M=Monday, T=Tuesday, W=Wednesday, U=Thursday, F=Friday.
Moreover, the following abbreviations are used in the list: LEC=Lecture, REC=Recitation class, QZ=MidTerm Exam. Thus the time listed next to QZ is the same for all recitation classes and simply means that all students have their THREE midterm exams on Tuesday evenings. The time stated (7:05-8:20P) is the time the exam room is reserved, not the exact exam time. Thus the midterm exams will take place from 7:15-8:15pm (60 minutes! only).

Jan 12:

The lecture times, all in CW101, are
    9:30 Prof.Hansen,
  11:30 Prof.Pinner,
    1:30 Prof.Burckel,
    3:30 Prof.Smith.

NOTE: You may attend a different lecture section as long as there are adequate seats, but you must attend the recitation that you enrolled in. Assuming that you know your recitation section then your recitation instructor's name may be obtained from the course list, and phone number/email address from contact info.

If you are in Chris Pinner's lecture section then the pre-lecture transparencies are available at LectureNotes
