Mathematics Help Sessions

Thirty years ago, the Department of Mathematics started a free tutorial program which is open to all students enrolled in MATH 100 College Algebra, MATH 150 Plane Trigonometry, MATH 205 General Calculus, MATH 220 Calculus I, MATH 221 Calculus II, MATH 222 Calculus III and MATH 240 Elementary Differential Equations. These Help Sessions are staffed largely by instructors in these courses, and here is the current Help Session Schedule. These Help Sessions end the last week of classes, but there are special Final Help Sessions during final exam week in the fall and spring. The Final Help Session Schedule is updated the week before final exams. Here is How to Succeed in KSU Math Courses.

Our Advanced Level Help Sessions are open in the fall and spring to all students currently enrolled in MATH 506 Introduction to Number Theory, MATH 511 Introduction to Algebraic Systems, MATH 512 Introduction to Modern Algebra, MATH 515 Introduction to Linear Algebra, MATH 520 Foundations of Analysis, MATH 551 Applied Matrix Theory, MATH 560 Introduction to Topology, MATH 633 Advanced Calculus I and MATH 634 Advanced Calculus II. Here is the most recent Advanced Level Help Session Schedule.

Any K-State student may apply for a tutor in 101 Holton Hall and can get tutoring in the Tutoring Center (201 Leasure Hall, phone 532-5703).  The only condition is that they have a tutor for the subject requested.  The Academic Assistance Center offers Group Tutoring Sessions and Other Tutoring Resources in Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Calculus I and Calculus II.

Educational Supportive Services offers free one on one tutoring for: first generation students; students meeting economical requirements; disabled students; and students 25 or older. The only condition is that they have a tutor for the subject requested. For more information, call 532-5642 or visit 201 Holton Hall.

Mathematics - Physics Computing Lab

Using the latest technology to enhance the mathematics curriculum, the Department of Mathematics, in cooperation with the Department of Physics, created the Mathematics - Physics Computational Classroom Laboratory (MPCCL) which is currently used for MATH 240 Elementary Differential Equations, MATH 540 Advanced Ordinary Differential Equations, MATH 551 Applied Matrix Theory, MATH 655 Numerical Analysis and several physics courses. Here are the Computing Lab Open Hours for the current semester.
