UGE Courses for Math Majors
A DARS report will give the number of University General Education (UGE) hours a student needs. Students must take between 6 and 18 hours of UGE courses at K-State depending on the number of hours they transfer to K-State, but, in any event, all students must take at least 6 hours at K-State of 300 level and above UGE courses. UGE requirements decrease for students who transfer eight or more hours to K-State. The UGE Policy for Students Transferring Credit to Kansas State is at http://www.k-state.edu/uge/aboutuge/policies.htm. Advanced Placement (AP) credit, International Baccalaureate (IB) credit, and Credit by Exam including the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) may be considered "transfer credit" for purposes of the UGE policy for Students Transferring Credit to Kansas State.
Courses approved for UGE are designated UGE in the Undergraduate Catalog
