Local information:

Weather:
Fall is the best season to visit Kansas. The air is usually crisp and cool with temperatures ranging from average high of 55F (13C) and average low of 35F (2C). Snow usually starts mid-January. You can check the Manhattan weather update.

Manhattan:
Also known as "The Little Apple", Manhattan KS is a small college town, surrounded by the Flint Hills and overlooking the Konza Prairie natural reserve.

Food Options:
There is a good choice of Restaurants & Cafes and the student's nightlife quarter, Aggieville, all within walking distance from KSU campus.

Some recommendations:

Breakfast: There is a Cafe in the K-State Union building. Alternatively, you can go to, e.g., Radina's Coffeshop in the Aggieville area.

Lunch: On weekdays, you could go to the University's self-service food court at the K-State Union building, ground floor. There are multiple alternatives available at Aggieville (5 minutes walk from Campus).

Dinner: You may want to try the local beer brewery called Little Apple Brewery (casual), or The 4 Olives (casual, reservation required), or Harry's (fancy, reservation required). you may need to drive to these restaurants.
