News Details

April 2009 : Nicole Wayant receives Presidential Award for Distinguished Undergraduate Student in Research
Nicole Wayant is engaged in the research project: Spatial-temporal Analysis of Malaria in Paraguay: Correlating Malaria and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index. This interdisciplinary research project is a collaboration between Professor Douglas Goodin from the Department of Geography at K-State, Nicole Wayant, Mathematics and Geography major, and Professor Diego Maldonado from the Department of Mathematics at K-State.

Nicole has been designated an I-Center Undergraduate Scholar at K-State for Spring & Fall 2008 and Spring 2009.
