Math Modeling Team Designated Meritorious

March 2006

A team of Kansas State University students successfully competed in the 2006 Mathematical Contest in Modeling.

A total of 748 teams competed including one team from K-State. Each team of three students had to choose one of two different mathematical modeling problems and then work together at their institution to solve the problem. One problem was about water irrigation, and the other was about wheelchair access at airports.

The K-State team consisting of Asma Al-Rawi, Eli Parke, and Kevin McBeth was designated a Successful Participant.
