Graduate Student Research Conference
On
Algebra And Representation Theory

May 26-27, 2006
Kansas State University

Goal: To promote graduate research in algebra and representation theory, and to communicate and share the research results and research experience. Provide graduate students the first professional experience as  research mathematicians and to broaden graduate student research interest and increase future opportunities for collaboration. All talks should contain current research topics and should be accessible to the graduate students.

Keynote speakers: Victor Ginzburg from University of Chicago;
                                   Craig Huneke from University of Kansas.

Each keynote speaker will give a one-hour talk. The rest of the talks are 30 minute talks and  will be given by the graduate students.

Financial support:  Right now we have funds from the math department and the college of Art and Science.  It is about enough to support the lodging expenses, but not for the travel expense. Please ask your department to see if  there are funds available to support your travel to the conference!
