KSUREU application

Brainstorming and Barnstorming application

Are you a US citizen or permanent resident undergraduate (expected graduation date at least 4 months after the completion of the REU) who has completed vector calculus and differential equations? If not, bummer you are not eligible for our program. There are many other summer math programs, so keep looking.

We need your coordinates before we can really begin, so...

Name:
e-mail:
phone:
Address:
Street:
City, State, Zip

Somehow, an essay just does not feel right for this application, so we are going to make you take a math quiz. The quiz may be found on our Quiz Page. We will also ask you to send us copies of your college transcripts (unofficial are fine), and have two people who know something about your math and science abilities send us a confidential letter of recommendation.

These materials should be sent to:

Of course, if there is extra information about you that is relevant, you should let us know. (For example, do you have any flight experience? Did you score well on the Putnam exam? Do you have STYLE?)

Please look at the eligibility requirements for the Kansas State University SUROP program.

SUROP Eligibility
First-generation college students, members of ethnic minority groups and other under-represented groups (e.g. FEMALE MATHEMATICIANS) are invited to apply for the KSU SUROP. Applicants must be American citizens or have legal resident alien status. Applicants should have an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, be majoring in a field listed here or a related field, and have a career goal that includes graduate-level education of at least two years beyond the B.S. or B.A. degree.

If you are eligible for the SUROP program and are applying for the KSU-REU please apply to SUROP (The deadline has past, but apply anyway. This will give us more money to spend if we accept you) by following the directions at: SUROP

After you are accepted to our REU, you will need to find a place to stay while you are in Manhattan. Our housing office is a good place to start your search (especially if you just wish to stay in a dorm.)
