What a K-12 Student Needs to Do to Take a Math Course at K-State

  • Read the Admission Criteria for High School Students.
  • Submit an application along with:
    • an admission fee;
    • a high school transcript*;
    • a letter* from the high school containing a list of courses the student wants to take along with a statement that the student is eligible to take University courses; namely:
      • the student is mature enough;
      • the student meets the requirements of his/her high school or middle school for taking college courses;
      • the student meets the requirements for admission to the University;
      • the student has the pre-requisites for the courses on the list.

      *If home schooled, the transcript and letter may come from the parent.
  • Submit a letter from the parent, if the child is 15 years old or younger, giving permission for the student to take the course.

What you need to do to declare math as a major at K-State

  • New students may make a pre-matric curriculum change in the Office of Admissions in 119 Anderson Hall.
  • Continuing students may make a change of curriculum in the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in 117 Eisenhower Hall.
