Frank Wattenberg, Beyond Kids in a Candy

- In the last 10 years, many of us have felt like kids in a candy
store confronted with shelves upon shelves of goodies. New
technologies [WWW, Java, Applets, TI-92, etc.] have presented us with
extraordinary opportunities to create rich learning environments in
which students can discover the power and beauty of mathematical
thinking. In this talk, we will look at some exciting examples of the
ways all this technology is being used and discuss choosing
technologies that are more effective and appropriate in different
circumstances.
