Keep Track of your homework scores and exam scores  by marking your scores on the syllabus next to the Due Date column.

After each test I will post an exam scale and a cumulative scale based  just on the homework and exams.  This will give you a rough idea of where you stand. (Consult with your recitation instructor about the effect of recitation points on your grade.)

After the third test the total is
Total* =  HW1 + HW2 + . . . + HW10 +  Test1 + Test2 + Test3   
Example:  If your homework scores are 8, 8,6,8,6,7,8,6,7,5  and your test scores 69, 88, 75  your current total is 301 which would be a B grade.

** Final Cutoffs are based on the sum of your best 14 homework scores (total 112 points),  your three exam scores and your final exam score. They do not include the recitation points.  The cutoffs stated above are just estimates and will be adjusted after the final exam curve is determined.  Your recitation instructor will add your recitation points to the total above and come up with a new set of cutoffs for the 712 point total.  Your final course grade will be based on the 712 point scale.
